Alaska Vacations - see and experience 'The Last Frontier'

Katmai National Park and Preserve

Brown Bear Katmai National Park

Anchorage is typically the start or end of most Alaska cruise or land tours so why not spend a day or two with us at the world’s capital of brown bear viewing – Brooks Falls in the Katmai National Park?

Here you will see brown bears close up in their natural habitat. You will have time to stand and watch their fishing techniques and see how they interact with the other bears.

Unlike cruise lines or land tours there are no other distractions – no rushing to get you to the souvenir shop or back to the ship or bus. Take your time, relax, explore, and enjoy. You only have to remember one thing – your float plane pick-up time in the evening and that’s hours away.

Our 1 day tour gives you longer bear viewing time and less float plane time. We do this by using a combination of a scheduled air service for the longest part of the journey together with a short float plane hop over to the Katmai Park and Brooks Falls. This is far more relaxing than a noisy float plane all the way from Anchorage or Homer.

For multi-day tours your accommodation is only a short float plane flight away in King Salmon where you can relax and relive the day’s adventure. Being based in King Salmon means we can get you to Brooks even earlier in the morning or pick you up later in the evening – extend your bear viewing at both ends of the day.

Denali National Park

Mount McKinley Denali National ParkAfter spending time with us why not visit the Denali National Park?

You can get there from Anchorage by car or why not take the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Denali? Maybe stop off in Talkeetna on the way.

In Denali you can explore the vast wilderness of the national park or take the day long tour to Kantishna which is right in the centre of the Park? From Denali you can continue on to Fairbanks where you will find lots of things to see and do.

Kenai Fjords National Park

Tidewater Glacier Kenai Fjords National ParkInterested in sea life? Why not head on down the Kenai peninsula toward Seward taking time out in Girdwood perhaps.

In Seward there are a variety of cruises available round the Kenai Fjords National Park where you can see whales, seals, sea birds, and the awesome power of nature – tidewater glaciers calving.
